The governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, and his family were forced to evacuate the governor’s mansion after a burning fire caught fire during the night while they slept, he announced.

The fire exploded only a few hours after the governor published a photo of his family celebrating the first Easter night on Saturday, ABC 27 reported.

The fire attack remains under active investigation, police said.

“Last night at 2 in the morning, my family and I woke up with the coup in the Police of the State of Pennsylvania after a fire on fire at the Governor’s residence in Harrisburg,” Shapiro wrote on Twitter.

“The Harrisburg Fire Office was on the scene and, while working to turn off the fire, we were evacuated safely by the Pennsylvania State Police and assisted by the Capitol Police. Thank God that no one was injured and the fire.”

The fire was considered as a “act of caused fire” and caused a “significant amount of damage” to the residence, according to the state police of Pennsylvania.

Fortunately, Shapiro and his family were sleeping in a different part of the house from where the fire was, the police added.

The high -profile Democrat Governor is seen as a possible main contender for the White House in 2028, and was strongly considered as Kamala Harris’s co -worker in 2024.

Researchers are offering a $ 10,000 reward for advice that leads to the trial of a suspect.

The Governor’s residence is found in 2035 North Front Street and has served as the home of eight governors and their families since 1968.
