Following the death of the former open receiver of LSU, Kyren Lacy, on Sunday of an apparent suicide, Lcy’s lawyer, Matthew Ory, issued a statement criticizing the investigation regarding his client’s trial on the vote of the charges of a mortal land.

A grand jury had the leg prepared to listen to evidence that involves the case that begins on Monday.

Ory called Research on Lcy “directed and overloaded” and also referred to it as a “witch hunt.”

“We were very sure that the evidence, then collected and reviewed, would lead to a decline of charges,” reads the statement, first published by WAFB TV.

“From the beginning, this so -called research on the appearance of an effort that is too jealous and objective, which can only be described as a witch hunt fed by who Kyren was and the public profile he carried.”

Lacy, 24 years old at the time of his death, had had a battery to cause an accident in Louisiana that resulted in the death of a 78 -year -old man in December. 17, in addition to leaving the scene without notifying the authorities.

It was delivered on January 12 and was imprisoned before being released with a bail of $ 151,000, according to police records.

According to the police, he was accused of negligent homicide, a serious crime run over with death and reckless operation of a vehicle.

“The decision of the investigative agency to accuse him, in our opinion, was not only justified, it was disturbing,” said the statement. “It is imperative to understand the District Prosecutor of the Parish of Lafourche, to this day, he has not accused.”

The Statement Also Criticized The Media for Perceive Role in His Appare Suicide, Referring to Lacy As “A Young Man With Immense Promise, and He was crushed under the weight of an irresponsible and prejudice process. The negative bar bar on social media Outlet rather than a Standard Photo, The Recent Civil Lawsuit Filled Against Him That Named Another Defendant Who Mysterously Wasn’t Charged With A Crime, Only Him, and The Overall Tone of coverage painted a deeply biased image that had “before before it ever made” “” “” “” “” “” “” “

And the NFL was also beaten with criticism. Lacy declared for the NFL 2025 draft two days after the accident. He did not play in LSU’s bowl game, but participated in the Professional Programs Day in March and could have been selected in the Draft later this after three seasons in LSU after two seasons in Louisiana.

“There was never a presumption of innocence that was exemplified by the NFL that withdrew his Draft card for mere accusations without providing him with the slightest opportunity to defend himself,” reads the statement. “The pressure and perception probably became unbearable.”
