West Sacramento, California – Kodai’s performance improved as the tickets advanced on Sunday.

In the seventh, the right of the Mets was still bringing its rapid ball to 96 mph and turning through the ATS alignment. Maybe the only question was if he would get a chance at least to start the eighth.

That opportunity was denied by the manager Carlos Mendoza, but Senga still ended with the best start for a Mets pitcher this season in the team’s 8-0 victory in the series’s rubber game in Sutter Health Park.

Senga, who launched 79 launches, allowed four hits around seven laundering inputs with four strikeouts and two walks, removing 11 of the last 12 batters he faced. The last two Songa batters, Seth Brown and Gio Urshela, each struck.

It was a second consecutive beginning in which Senga did not allow a race, including his five goals against the Marlins last week.

It became the first starter of the Mets this year to work in the seventh. David Peterson was the only previous launcher of the METS to complete six tickets at the beginning this season.

It was an offensively neglected game for the METS until the ninth, when four insurance races were accumulated with help for the defensive lapses of A.

Until that time, the Mets were 1 by 9 with runners in an annotation position and had gone to 11, but that was still enough to spoil Luis Severino’s meeting with his former teammates.

Severino, already in 101 releases, was allowed to remain in the game to face Luis Torrens with two outs in the sixth. Torrens won the battle, stroking a simple RBI for the first race of the game.

More than 5 ²/₃ entries, the veteran right allowed a race with four hits with six strikeouts and three walks. Severino averaged 97.3 MPH with his four -seam fast ball.

Two days before, Severino revealed that he would have accepted less money to stay with the METS, but the team was not reception. Severino received a three -year contract worth $ 67 million from athletics. He said he transmitted to the METS that he was willing to accept a two -year contract for $ 40 million.
