“If you believe, and I think that many of these people sincerely believe, that Donald Trump was and is an existential threat to democracy, you can rationalize anything, including things about something,” said Thompson.

According to reports, another assistant also told Thompson that former President Biden “only had to win, and then disappeared for four years.”

“I would only have to show proof of life each in a time,” said Thompson, the assistant told him. “His AIDS could collect the slack.”

“When you vote for the president, you are voting for the aid that surrounds him,” said the assistant.

President Biden was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer this month.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen by a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing the increase in urinary symptoms,” said his office in a statement to

“On Friday he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (grade group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” added his office. “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, cancer seems to be sensitive to hormones, allowing effective management.
