Cadingham imagines a tough battle in her playoff series of the Pistons against the Knicks.

“It’s going to be a war,” said the star of the Pistons on Sunday in ESPN. “They will be highly physical games: defense, fight against glass, all those different things.

“I think it will be a super exciting series for people at home to see, and it will be a great test for us in terms of the first round, the first series in a long time for the organization. So it is exciting, and I think it’s great for us.”

Cunningham, an All-Star for the first time this season and a strong candidate for All-NBA, set the Knicks on four clashes this regular season, averaging 30.8 points with 8.3 assists while shooting around 56 percent.

“Throughout the year, just a really good player,” said Mikal Bridges, who was one of Cunningham’s main defenders this season.

“Just goes to his own pace, he is calm at all times,” Bridges continued. “And I think this year, only the previous year, but this year [especially]More games … making more readings. Open to other boys, knowing that you have the ball in your hands more, but still put other boys, knowing that you have more opportunities. “

Knick coach Tom Thibodeau, said he is giving the Pistons and Cunningham, “the right amount of respect.”

“It has had an excellent season. It’s not just just [against] We have done it against everyone. We understand it. … With great players you don’t keep them individually, protect them collectively, “said Thibodeau.” Then we have to understand what enters that. “

When winning Sunday, the Knicks eclipsed the last season of a victory and obtained the best franchise record since 2013.

“I just said that our team, you earn 51 games, you are the third seed, so you have earned the right to be in the playoffs,” said Thibdoeau. “You are not in the game, so you have a week to prepare and prepare for the next challenge. It really is a new season. The regular season puts you in a position, it gives you the opportunity, you want to finish the highest seeds that you start.

“The registration of all is zero and zero. You have to win everything again. We have to understand what enters it. In terms of preparation, we are a lot of believers in how we prepare. Now is the time to prepare and study.”
