The professional skater Jamie Foy remembers his first time playing a game of skaters of Tony Hawk Pro.
After having been on a skateboard since I had a year, Foy saw Tony Hawk Pro Skater as a way of seeing himself in a video game, unlocking a world of creativity and inspiration for his trade he had never seen before.
“Once I started playing skating games and realizing that I can do all these different tricks and that I can do all this on the street, it made me fall in love with street skating,” Foy said about Zoom. “I fell in love with street skating because the world is already out there, with so many different structures, so now you have to go and create an art with him, which is one thing that Hawk Pro skater showed me.”
That inspiration would lead Foy to the streets of Australia (his favorite place to skate, due to the structure and use of stone and granite in the streets), Spain, and now the world of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 and 4 Remerie Hulles Up Playable. The game will be Avius on July 11. Almost five years after the last launch of the game, the franchise returned to the modern games, but the goal is to be an ode for the previous games, while it marked the beginning of a new era of skating.
Kurt Tillmanns’s first experience with Tony Hawk came through Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3. When he was a child, he accompanied his older cousins and friends who would like to play the game. As described, the game puts it in a “Zen” state, where I would go skating for free in the city of Rio and travel for hours. Fast progress until 2025, Tillmanns now leads the creative vision behind the remastering of the game he played as a child, the head of the project behind THPS 3 and 4 remastered.
To bring justice to remastering, he had to consult the best scribes and philosophical forums about where to go.
“We make many of Reddit’s threads and YouTube videos,” Tillmanns about Zoom said. “We return to the history books again and that definitely reported our process through the development of the game.” Tillmanns also said that popular modification (adding modifications to the popular games to keep them updated) as Tony Hawk: Underground Pro helped inform the development team about what the fans of the game want and have been adding in the time that the game has been.
Hugging the modernity of his fans and skaters while keeping the spirit of the game alive was one of the greatest challenges that Tillmanns and the creative team faced the remastering Thps 3 and 4, but the only thing that unites is the skating culture. That is reflected in the soundtrack, which is one of the greatest statements of the fame of the games franchise, but it is deeper than that. The skating in itself is only Cool. From music, to clothes, to freedom that a table and a random sidewalk can give it. It is less structured and more independent orchestral music, and Tillmanns had to make sure that spirit alive. To do this, there was talk with the new skaters that are in the game, including Foy.
“They [the skaters in the game] We arrive at us with their ideas for what their characters use, tricks they could do or certain things that are exclusive to them, “said Tillmanns. Person.”
Due to how a unique skating is, the bee to add the uniqueness of each skater helps mark the art form behind the table, while everyone skates, each style is exclusive to each skater. “He is a child or how to look at a painting,” Foy said. “You see some painting and you can say who is behind her. It’s like seeing a skater and when they skate in a certain way, you can say who it is. Skating helps you develop your own art style and form, becoming your own artist through the data.”

Tillmanns used the phrase, “fantastic spaces and prohibited places” to describe the new environments of the game. A popular forbidden place is the “Aquatic Park”, which Tillmanns describes me as a theme closing park in the desert medium, where you can skate through a water leakage tube. The inspiration for that? Or of course, YouTube. “We have seen a lot of youtube videos of skaters skating through the old closed aquatic parks, and we know it is a real skater fantasy,” Tillmanns said. “When we started developing it, we wanted to make it simply crazier. Just ask questions such as what would happen if the water plane had 60 feet high, or what would happen if you could go through a loop? We wanted to prove that there was quiet juice.”
Foy hopes that the creativity of the THP 3 and 4 remasteringly shows children a new world of imagination, where they can exceed the limits of what can be and cannot be done in a skateboard. “You can see a skater to do a trick in a video or leave and try it, but when it gets difficult, you can enter and let your mind go out to the game and see all the crazy tricks you can do, then you can do those same things one day,” Foy said. “Tony Hawk Pro skater is accessible to everything, and with how frequent video games are, it is great to see a skater having a good skating game to inspire us.”
