Colorado rockies are making a change in the midst of their bad historical beginning for the 2025 season. Bud Black has been fired as the Rockies manager after 7-33 in their ninth season in Colorado.
The team announced Black’s dismissal on Sunday. Banking coach Mike Redmond was also released. The third base coach, Warren Schaeffer, will now take as an interim manager for the rest of the season, while the bat coach Clint Hurdle will be the interim banking coach.
“Our play so far this season, special that comes from the last two seasons, has been unacceptable,” said Own, President and CEO of Rockies, Dick Monfort, in a statement. “Our fans deserve better, and we are able to better. While we all share this responsibility in how this season has been developed, these change changes are necessary. We will use the rest of 2025 to improve where we can in the field and on the side of the field or the next chapter of Ohalury of baseball rockies.”

Black’s contract was scheduled to expire after the season. He signed an extension of one year in October.
Before taking care of the rockies, Black spent time in charge of San Diego. He had 649-713 in nine seasons with the parents and was appointed manager of the Year of the National League in 2010.
In addition to its managerial periods in San Diego and Colorado, Black spent seven seasons as Los Angelinos pitching coach, who reached the postseason three times and were World Series champions in 2002.
