Mel Kiper Jr. official lost to ESPN when the Browns finally chose Shooakeur Sanders. The largest icon of the NFL draft coverage was performed in a diatribe, hitting the equipment for being idiotic when it comes to evaluating the quarterbacks, being a great admirer of Sanders out of Colorado.
“The NFL has had no idea for 50 years when it comes to evaluating field marshals. They have no idea. They have no idea what they do in terms of evaluating quarters. That is a test. There is evidence.
On the one hand, Kiper is not bad. The teams have been failing the field Marshal position since the NFL draft began. They are not just the infamous stories such as Jamarcus Russell or Ryan Leaf this either, but things like Brees threw themselves in the second round, Joe Montana is a third round selection or Tom Brady in the sixth. Here is a story not only to choose busts, but to let some of the best players fall when they should never have done it.
The draft has always been an imprecise science. Projecting a player correctly is very impossible because it covers the university capacity, the ethics of the work, the adjustment of the equipment and the offensive trends, so you need to bring everything to the stability of an organization, including whete or a training.
Personally, I agree with Mel when it comes to Shedeur Sanders. I receive the criticism, but it was ridiculous to see him out of the board after Tyler Handars or Dillon Gabriel. That said, as angry as Mel received, he has had some massive stinks when it comes to projecting QB too.
Mel Kiper should have retired in 2018 about Jimmy Clausen
He feels old now, but in 2010 Kiper attached to All In Jimmy Clausen. The teams criticized Clausen in the first round, promising that it would become one of the 10 best field marshal in the NFL. A Fresh Face Todd McShay asked Kiper how long before the bet matured, at which time Kiper said “Give me eight years.”
Clausen was out of the NFL for 2015. Around the course of her six -year career she plays in 22 games.
THE OTHER NOTES DAME QB THRUM
This is not so many “sausage” lists when it comes to the shots of the Mel Kper Jr. Draft, but in 2007 he was completely bewildered that Detroit Tok Calvin Johnson’s lions with General Selection No. 2.
More critically it was likely that lions should have tasks to Brady Quinn with the second selection, solidifying in Mariscal de Campo. Megatron gets used to being one of the best receivers in the history of the NFL, while Quinn, well, is one of a long list of failed Cleveland QB.
That time Jamarcus Russell was compared to John Elway
This would call a turning point for Mel. In 2007, when the Oakland Raiders led Jamarcus Russell with him. 1 Kiper general selection made an infamous comparison, saying that Russell was the next John Elway.
The idea here was that Russell was a QB of large and armed arms that could throw the ball a mile. The only problem is that interpreting the position like that no longer translated into the NFL, and the unfortunate inaccuracy did not. 1 Choose a total responsibility in the QB position.
Mitch Trubisky: The next Matt Ryan
Kiper was in Trubisky in the 2017 NFL draft. So much so that he said in the air that there was a massive gap between the possible bust of the bears and all others in that class. Kiper saw the QB out of North Carolina as the second coming of Matt Ryan, and his QB class SNAFU in 2017 was legendary,
