With Arlington’s renegades following three points and needing only a field goal to send the game on extra time, Field Marshal Luis Pérez Tok matters in his own hands, with disastrous results.

Instead of increasing the ball to establish a long field goal, Pérez pretended the spike and tried to connect on a quick route to hit a pair of yards. However, the corner of the defenders of DC, Deandre Baker, chose the Flutation pass to seal a 33-30 victory and a place in the postseason.

“I thought we were just accelerating football and we were going to kick the field goal,” said Arlington coach Bob Stopops. “And Luis thought he had the route outside, so he attributed it. He didn’t work in that way.”

Despite the 350 aerial yards of the Pérez season, the renegades were eliminated from the playoffs for the second consecutive season after critical turnover. Like last year, the renegades fought to overcome the closed games. Now 3-5, the five losses for Arlington have been for a touchdown or less. The renegades were 1-5 in games of a score last season.

With the victory, the defenders (6-2) were four teams to hit their ticket to the playoffs during the weekend, since the teams in the postseason have decided with two weeks in the regular season.

On Saturday, St. Louis Battlehawks supporter, Travis Feeney, forced Birmingham’s stallions to the CJ Marble Corridor to look for his team by driving already 16 seconds. The corner Myes Jones recovered it, and St. Louis faced a 29-28 victory against 30,114 fans in central America.

St. Louis (6-2) achieved a position in the playoffs with the victory and loss of Arlington. Even with the reverse, the stallions (5-3) also achieved a position in the postseason because the Michigan Panthers (6-2) led the Houston Roughnecks (3-5) on the road, 30-18.

The UFL announced that it does not matter how the teams end, the game of the USFL conference title will take place at the Protective Stadium in Birmingham and that the Tilt of the XFL Conference Championship will take place in St. Louis on June 8.

On the other hand, Memphis showbats (2-6) surpassed the San Antonio Brahmas (1-7) in extra time, 24-22.

Here is a look at other stories of week 8:

Jacob Saylors Grab UFL Rushing’s advantage with a performance of 118 yards

A favorite for the offensive player of the UFL year of 2025, Saylor finished with 118 yards per earth in 16 haunts in week 8, including a 1 yard tauchdown to tie the game at the end of the fourth quarter and a 2 -yard race for the following.

Saylor now leads the league in yards by land (466) and is tied in the leadership of the league in Touchdowns by land (five) with two remaining games. The Battlehawks have the best offensive by land in the league, averaging 141 yards by land per contest. St. Louis is now riding a four -game winning streak.

“Birmingham’s defense knew we were directing football,” said St. Louis chief coach Anthony Becht. “We knew we were directing football, and we continued hitting it. Ultimately, that was the difference in the football game. But very proud of the way he (Saylors) played and what he brings to the table.

“He is a captain. He is our best player honestly, and is up to those expectations. In the biggest games, in the most important moments, you have to appear, and he did.”

Danny Etling Take Panthers with a performance of three TD

Bryce Perkins, the Liga League candidate Bryce Perkins, did not play against the Roughnecks due to an ankle injury. Perkins was limited in practice the week, but participated fully on Friday and was listed as probable for the game.

However, Michigan’s chief coach, Mike Nolan, had been rotating Perkins and the second Ringer Etling at the beginning of the year, and the letter worked very well (14 of 222 passes for 167 aerial yards, three touchdowns and without interceptions).

“While I installed and I could only see what the defense was doing, I got into the rhythm of seeing the plays,” said Etling. “I get on the rhythm of playing live football again. He is a child or like an old hat. I have leg football for a long time, so it is not a great biggie once you enter a rhythm.”

Houston QB Jalan McClendon completed 30 or 50 passes for 316 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. However, he released a pick-six in the second half with the game still within reach; Michigan CB Keni Lovely returned 55 yards for the scoreboard.

Jordan Ta’amu Solidifies the state of Frontrunner for the UFL MVP award

The Ole Miss product is one of the only two quarters (Pérez is the other) to start each game this season and continue to produce prolific pass performances for the defenders.

Ta’amu finished 15 by 26 with 240 adjustment yards and two touchdowns in the victory. He also ran for 24 yards and also caught a 9 -yard touchdown pass from the Chris Rowland receiver. Ta’amu leads the league in air yards (1990) and TouchDowns passengers (16). It is also no. 16 in the UFL in yards by land (171).

“I am excited about this opportunity to rewrite the story,” Ta’amu said about his team that reached the postseason. “The last two years hurt, not winning those championships. We feel that in the locker room we were the best team.”

While his team has struggled to obtain victories, the USC product has gathered some outstanding performances in the last two weeks. The last capture of outstanding races was an acrobatic one -hand shot for a 5 -yard touchdown in the back of the Pérez score zone. Vaughns finished with three trapped for 51 yards and two scores in eight goals.

Showboats escape from San Antonio in time to extract gain

Fox’s game at night had a bit of everything, including a blocked point followed by a lost field goal. The two teams combined for five ball losses and 128 criminal yards.

The San Antonio closed wing, Steven Stilianos, launched a 38-yard touchdown pass to Deerson for a touchdown, while another player who has usual in the Memphis-Memphis Josiah Bronson-Reled defensive Tackle.

In the end, Memphis QB Troy Williams led his team to two consecutive two -point conversions in OT for the second victory of the showbats this season. Jashaun Corbin finished with 25 haules for 145 yards per land and a score for the brahmas.
