In a vacuum, there is a logical explanation for each of the low season movements of the Pittsburgh Steelers. GM Omar Khan has made a series of good decisions.
In the commercial market, the Steelers splashed when adding the DK Metcalf receiver, an elite games creator who essentially cost a second round selection. Why not the hell?
In the free agency, they made several agreements with depth players, but the highlight was signing the veteran corner Darius Slay. It is a star for its defense in a premium position. Again, why the hell?
The Steelers wrote DT Derrick Harmon, RB Kaleb Johnson and Jack Sawyer in the first four rounds. Harmon could end up being the best defensive Tackle in the Draft class. Johnson is supposed to be the second coming of Najee Harris, whom the Steelers let walk in free agency. Sawyer was an excellent value in Round 4, and Pittsburgh passed to Sheders four times (along with everyone else), but the Steelers wrote a QB: Will Howard outside the state of Ohio. So, why the hell isn’t it?
On Wednesday, the Steelers agreed the terms in a commercial shipping receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a third -round selection of 2026 and a selection of fifth round of 2027. According to the reports, Pickens was a great headache for Mike Tomlin. And that is to say something, because Tomlin endured Antonio Brown for nine years. Tomlin sold High On Brown, Chase Claypool, Duantae Johnson and, maybe, now Pickens. In addition, he also explains why the Steelers were negotiated by Metcalf and the novel of the wilson dressed receiver last year 2. And if the steelers were going to sell in pickens, it makes sense to add to their 12 selections of Warcest, get a quarterback.
You know what I am about to say, but I have to say it for the last time: why does not?
But if you feel something missing, that’s that you’ve seen the Pittsburgh current Graph deep in QB: Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson, Howard.
That is the Sausage Campo Marshal Hall in the NFL. Likewise The Cleveland Browns look better than that.
Aaron Rodgers remains in the fence on where and if he will play next year. It has the pulmonary leg connected to the steelers. In March, the owner of the team, Art Rooney, said that Rodgers was “directed in our direction.” But we have not seen any progress.
Without Rodgers, Steelers do not have a plan in Quarterback.
And without a plan in Quarterback, Steelers do not have a general plan.
Should Steelers have recruited a QB before while waiting for Aaron Rodgers?

I can justify all the movements that have made this season. But I still can’t improvise what Steelers are trying to achieve this year. If they wanted to win with Rodgers, maybe they would like Pickens stominate for one more year. It is a team led by Tomlin, so there is no way to be sunk. But if they are being rebuilt, why would they change for the 27 -year -old Metcalf? Why would they sign the 34 -year -old Slay? Those movements pointed to a team that seemed to be at a quarterback.
It seems that Rodgers will end in Pittsburgh. In fact, there are reports that the veteran receiver Allen Lazard, who played with Rodgers in the Packers and Jets, could replace Pickens with the Steelers. But not all in the organization seem to be counting on the four times MVP of the NFL.
The interesting minority of the Steelers, Thomas Tull, said in an interview with CNBC That firm of Rodgers is “a more complex problem” than AI, the field in which Tull works.
Rodgers appeared in “The Pat McAfee Show” before the draft to explain where he meets the Steelers. He said he said with things in his personal life. He has decided on retirement. It has been discarded signing with Pittsburgh, or another NFL team.
“I said [to the Steelers,] “Listen, if you need to move on, of course,” Rodgers said. “I am trying to be open to everything and not specifically attached to anything. … I am not holding anyone as a hostage.”
Look, this is the problem With Dalliants with Rodgers. It is a fireworks box. You never know what you are going to get. Now, if Steelers want a box of chocolates, they can chase Kirk Cousins in the commercial market. You still really know what you are going to get, but at least it is a sweet type, much less explosive than the other option. The Falcons have claimed that they won commercial cousins, but surely they will.
With the draft finished, those are the only realistic options in quartback for steelers. They cannot, in good awareness, start Rudolph, the best QB in their current list. They cannot sign Desmond Knight, Carson Wentz or Teddy Bridgewater (the best free agent options) and expect one of them to be an effective initiator.
At this point, they are rodgers or cousins.
Pickens trade does not change that, nor is it a big surprise. Long before the draft, he had bones rooted in commercial rumors, and stopped following the steelers on social networks. It is not an alteration of the plan; It’s just when Steelers could finally download it. But in doing so, they now moved from their main pin (Russell Wilson), the main corridor (Harris) and the main receiver.
This is an offseas or large movements for steelers. It’s just that great movements do not point to a clear plan. He won any meaning until Steelers make their greatest movement of all: find a quarterback.
