Miami, Florida – The days of accumulation here in Hard Rock Stadium have led to this: the initial network for the Miami Grand Prix of Formula 1 on Sunday.
And despite the fact that all forecasts arrive a week, once again, Max Verstappen will be in P1 when the lights come out later today.
The Red Bull driver, who was late to Miami after he and his partner Kelly Piquet celebrated the birth of his daughter, found every tenth that he needed in the third quarter on Saturday to take the pole positioned ahead of Lando Norris de McLaren. Start behind the two friends and their rivals will be the young Phenom of Mercedes Kimi Antonelli, who described third after taking the pole position for the Sprint F1 race at the beginning of the week, and the current leader of the Oscar Piestri pilot championship.
Alexander Albon’s Williams Duo and Carlos Sainz Jr. were classified among the top ten, and the entire team was lush after the classification on Saturday afternoon. Sainz was satisfied with the rhythm he saw from the FW47, highlighting how in his sixth race the team is only “three” of the Pole Position.
The mood is quite different in Ferrari, since both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are still trying to find the rhythm of fighting in the front.
On the back of the grid, Pierre Gasly is ready to start from Pit Lane. Gasly described in P18, but the team made changes in the suspension in its A525 during the night, which requires a start of Pit Lane.
