The Milwaukee Bucks guard, Damian Lillard, underwent surgery on Friday to repair the left Achilles tendon that broke Sunday in a defeat for the playoffs against the Indiana Pacers.
Lillard received the help from the court halfway during the first quarter of the 129-103 defeat of the Bucks in game 4 of his first round playoff series with the Pacers. The Bucks announced on Monday that the seven-time All-NBA guard had torn the Achilles tendon.
The Bucks played without Lillard in game 5 on Tuesday and lost 119-118 in extra time in Indiana, which allows the Pacers to ensure the best series of seven.
Lillard played three games in that series, since he made a notable rapid return of deep thrombosis, an abnormal clot inside a container where blood freezing blocks the flow that makes it back to the heart, on his calf.
After missing the last 14 games of the regular bucks season, Lillard was tasks that are deactivated and cleared to resume complete basketball activity. Lillard lost game 1 of the Pacers series to return and then returned to game 2.
Lillard, 34, took the tenth place in the NBA in annotations (24.9) and assistance (7.1) this season while obtaining his ninth selection of All-Star games.
