With the addition of the transfer portal to the world of university football and the exploration of the NFL draft, it has become a fairly funny exercise of thought to discover which players will increase their draft stock in a new location. Miami QB Cam Ward dazzled the explorers and the way to be the first general selection in 2025, but had to transfer the word embodied to the Washington state before its final stop in Coral Gables. The reigning defensive rookie Jared Vers was in Albany before transferring to the state of Florida, and the offensive rookie of the year Jayden Daniels was in the state of Arizona before winning the Heisman in LSU.
There were many portal movements in both winter and in the spring window of university football this season, with many big names changing place. What guys have the opportunity to increase their more draft stock in their new schools?
John Mate, QB, Oklahoma
Mate is trying to follow Ward’s footsteps, going from Washington’s state to a larger school and blooming. While Mate and Ward are different in many ways in the field, both share the same level of recsia that comes from playing in a hyperent version of Air Raid offers. In Oklahoma, I hope to see Mate reduce chaotic plays and use their sports tools to maintain their offensive on time. It could be the only thing that makes its draft stock salt.
Isaiah World, Ot, Oregon
The world is a really intriguing perspective, only outside athletic tools. With 6’8 and 309 pounds, it looks like an offensive Tackle and more like Gregor Clegane. It has the length and movement skills to really become a special perspective in the Tackle, as special in the Oregon offensive that prioritizes special movement skills in the position. World has a way to go when it comes to technical refinement, but you can’t find many types so large that they can move so well, so it could be a fast elevator.
David Bailey, Edge, Texas Tech
Bailey was one of my favorite players to see on the film last season in Stanford. He is an explosive edge defender who can win with power or bend the corner of his opponents. Texas Tech spent a lot of money on his athletics department this low season, and Bailey was one of the most outstanding benefit factors. In a new location, I could end up playing in first round conversations.
Nic Anderson, WR, LSU
Anderson’s university career has been as snakebits as they. Dazzling in 2023 for Oklahoma with 10 touchdowns receivers, Anderson Dalt with a myriad of injuries before entering the portal and being in LSU, which could shake one leg and drop a NFL WR in the NFL. This kind of open receiver is as open as they come, so there is a lot of space for a great body like Anderson to play to the top of the class.
Noah Thomas, WR, Georgia
Another guy that I am really fascinated, Thomas is another large/upper/fast receiver that could play in the conversation for the upper receiver in this Draft class. It moves from Texas A & M a Georgia, where bulldogs have needed spariation hands or skills in the position, and Thomas brings strong hands combined with fun above the capacity of the tire for a large body type.
