The San Jose Sharks, who deal with injuries to at least two key players, recalled the forward Thomas Bordeleau of their AHL affiliate, San José Barracuda, on Saturday.

The Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky, said Thorsday that the Alexander Wennberg center has been playing through an injury at the bottom of the body “for a while.” Wennberg, the Sharks Second Line Center, has 35 points in 74 games this season and had about 22 minutes in the ice time in the defeat of San José against the Edmonton Oilers on Friday.

“I think one of our best players is a leg from the break (4 nations face),” Warsofsky said about Wennberg.

The sharks were without the top scorer Tyler Toffoli for his game at home against the Calgary Flames last Monday. The end was considered day by day with an injury at the bottom of the body. Toffoli returned to play on Wednesday in Minnesota and Friday in Edmonton, both sharks losses, since the team’s skate reached eight games.

Warsofsky said last Monday that Toffoli, who has 29 goals, has been dealing with the injury, “probable from just after the break.”

The sharks had the day off on Saturday, and it was unknown that Wheter Wennberg or Toffoli would be available to play Sunday in Calgary against the flames. Before reminding Bordeleau, San José had only 13 strikers on his list. At the end of last month, the sharks had used the four non -emergency retreats after the workshop line.

Bordeleau, a second round of shark drafts in 2020, has 38 points in 59 games with the barracuda this season. Bordeleau also has 18 points in 43 career NHL games, with his last game with the Sharks in the final of the 2023-24 season on April 18, when the team was again in Calgary.

Bordeleau was sixth in Barracuda to score this season. The first five games of the year was lost in October with an injury that suffered a training camp, and was also suspended by a game in February for verifying an opponent in the face.

The Barracuda assured a place in the Playoffs of the Copa Calder on Friday night with a 4-1 victory over the Ontario reign. San José receives Ontario again on Saturday and enters the game in fifth place in the classification of the AHL Pacific division, a point behind Coachella Valley fourth. The teams that end from second to fourth in the division will house a series of first round playoffs of the best of three.

The promotion of Bordeleau created an opening in the Alignment of Barracuda for Saturday’s game, and the Quentin Musty end will pray with the team. Musty, selected 26 in general by sharks in 2024, joined the barracuda earlier last week after his season with the Ohl Sudbury Wolves came to an end.

After Sunday, sharks have only two games that go back, since they play in Vancouver on Monday and receive the Oilers on Wednesday at the Sap Center.

The sharks will end in 32nd position and the last place in the general classification of the NHL for the second consecutive year will lose any of their last three games, or the 31st place of Chicago Blackhawks collect a point in their last three witches in their game at home.

Sharks have 51 points, five less than Blackhawks. But Chicago has the first tiebreaker with 20 victories in regulation time. San José has 14.
