Stephon’s castle did not hide: he wanted to be the rookie of the year.
And he did, by a wide margin.
The San Antonio Spurs now have consecutive winners of the award, with Victor Wembanyama last year and Castle this season. Castle was the fifth rookie in the history of the Spurs to score more than 1,000 points.
It was a unique vote in the vote. Castle obtained 92 votes in the first place, easily surpassing the Zaccharie Risacher runner -up of the Atlanta Hawks and the third -place finalist Jaylen Wells of the Mephis Grizzlies. Risacher obtained five votes in the first place, Wells won the other three.
