After not playing in the 2024 NFL season, Hunter Renfrow is back in the league with the Carolina Panthers. Where was Renfrow, who was released by the Las Vegas Raiders in the low season?
Well, the open receiver revealed that he had diagnosed his leg with the ulcerative colitis of the autoimmune condition. The effects of that condition have a cost in their body and kept it out of the football field.
“My butt kicked quite well,” Renfrow said, according to the website of the Panthers team. ” Last year, I fluctuated in weight; I put myself at 150 pounds. I had about seven days in a row of 103 degree fevers. It’s hard to play when you don’t feel great. “
Renfrow, 29, who signed a one -year contract with the Panthers earlier this month, is optimistic in his health.
“He’s just trying to return, trying to get healthy, trying to do something that I love,” Renfrow said. “I enjoyed other parts of life. We had our second daughter, so enjoying that and just wanting to make sure that if I am coming and give my time and stick to something that everything was going to be in it.”
The Raiders selected Renfrow in the Fifth Round of the Clemson 2019 NFL Draft. As a member of Los Tigres, Renfrow was part of two National Championship teams (2016 and 2018), more generally in a Tauchdown pass winner of the game against Alabama in the game for the 2016 title with a remaining second.

Renfrow was previously a constant catalyst in the Raiders air attack, highlighted for a 2021 season in which he transported 103 receptions for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns and obtained a Pro Bowl assent. After a 2022 campaign full of injury, Renfrow totaled only 25 receptions for 255 yards and zero touchdowns in 2023, which is the last time it appeared in the NFL.
But the opportunity of a second chance and that is close to his hometown means something for Renfrow.
“I am from the Carolinas, born in Myrtle Beach, I went to school in Clemson, so the opportunity to return here and be part of Carolina, people are special to me; the place is special to me,” Renfrow said. “I am likely a bit partial, but I would tell you when I was in Las Vegas, you know, the Carolinas are the best place in the world. I would tell my teammates that this is so and again.
“And seeing Cam Newton in the Super Bowl, only many good memories. I have been a fan of Carolina Panther all my life, right?”
The Panthers come from a 5-12 season and had an air attack that was 30 in the NFL (187.5 air yards per game). Renfrow joins an open receiving group that includes veteran Adam Thielen and the young Xavier Legette, Jalen Coker and Tetairoa McMillan, the latter of which Carolina selected with selection No. 8 in the NFL 2025 draft.
Meanwhile, Campo Marshal Bryce Young played well in the section last season in what was the best race of his two -year career, since the call of the signal for 1,583 yards, 11 TouchDowns, only Thust Sea Carepte, a 92.3 pin, qualifies a 92.3 pin of a 92.3 pin.
