Josh Duhamel’s cabin in the forest has become his new home and Doomsday Safe House, all in one.

The “Ransom Canyon” star spoke in its new excavations outside the Network in Minnesota, describing the wooded dwelling as a “great playground” in an interview with Parade published Thursday.

“It really contacted me,” he said. “There is something that meets the soul in many ways.”

Duhamel told him at the exit that the house, whose construction was built over the course of 15 years, his portion of heaven on earth, far from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood, or any important city, for the case.

“Part of the reason why I build my place in Minnesota, deep in the forest, is eliminated from everything,” he shared.

“The nearest store is 40 miles away. Once we get there, it’s really about everyone taking care of each other: making memories, spending time with family and friends. You really have the opportunity to return to the basics. You are not consumed.” ”

“When you’re out there, it’s really having fun, making sure everyone is hot, everyone has food and water,” he added.

The house has also served as a vehicle to approach the actor’s family.

Duhamel, 52, is the father of two children: Axl Jack, 11, whom he shares with ex -wife Fergie, and Shepherd, 15 months, whom he welcomed with his current wife, Audra Mari.

“My son will have memories of this place forever. He is not on his iPad when he is outside. He is there on the boat with me, or is playing football on the beach, or is in the forest,” he told The Outlet.

“And then I have a baby who is going to experience the same. Someday, I hope to convey this [so] They are able to share it with their children. It is really important for me to have this. It is not just about having all the comforts and all the luxuries to which we get used to it so much. It really is the family. This is a legacy. “

The star of the “shotgun wedding”, which grew in North Dakota, shared that he has approached his own father, who originally found the land in which the cabin is built, through experience.

“I am approaching my own parents because of this place, which has been interesting of the bones. My dad loves to get out to hang out. And we spend more time together in these last five, 10 years depend.

“My mother now loves to come. He has become a real and central center for all of us.”

The self -denominated “Doomsday Prepper” previously shared that he was building his home to be a safe shelter for his family “if things go to the south” in his interview in February 2024 with investigats.

“I have this crazy fixation on what happens if S – t hits the fan in Los Angeles and I have to take my family and live from the country,” he shared at that time, and added that he was “cultivating crops” and learning to hunt and fish.

“I think we could live outside the country. I’m not very good in that yet, but I’m getting there.”
