Passing is the name of the game on the thesis days of the NFL. Not only is it a requirement for teams to have an elite field marshal, but it has also become a previous requirement to have an open high -end receiver to win at the highest level.
Several franchises have an elite player in one of those positions at least, but only many teams can have one of each. With Quarterbacks and receptors are more important now than ever, what teams have the best duos?
Let’s take a look at the 10 best pairings of QB-WR in the NFL that enters the 2025 season.
10 best QB-wr duos in the NFL
Statistically, there was a better duo of field marshal and open receiver in the 2023 season than Tagovaila and Hill. In its second year together, the open receiver was in pace to break records of a single season. Hill had a whopping 1,481 reception yards in the first 12 games that year before finishing the 2023 season with 119 receptions for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns in 16 games.
A year later, injuries for both players prevented Hill from reaching the same heights. Although Hill appeared in the 17 games, he played through a Wist lesion throughout the season, while Tagovaila lost six games due to an injury. Hill ended the year with 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns. There were rumors that Hill potentially exchanged this low season, but is still in South Beach. Then, Tagovaila and Hill will seek to recreate the magic they had in their first two years together in 2025.
At the beginning of the 2024 season, it seemed that Collins would be one of the main NFL receptors again. He had 567 yards and three touchdowns in the first five games before an injury to the hamstrings left him aside for five weeks. Collins could still put 1,006 reception yards and seven touchdowns despite playing in just 12 games, he thought.
Collins’s injury could also help explain some of Stroud’s second year (launched three less touchdowns and seven more interceptions in his second year than the first). Do not be mistaken, thought, thesis two are a threat to any defense they face. In Stud’s rookie season, Collins totaled 80 receptions for 1,297 yards and eight touchdowns in 15 games. If they get a full year together in 2025, Ohio State and Michigan’s products could be equipped to do even more damage.
Jackson was already one of the best field marshals before the Ravens selected flowers in the first round of the NFL 2023 draft. However, the addition of flowers has also helped Jackson be one of the best league pins.
In 2024, Jackson launched for 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns and four interceptions, since he led the league in yards for attempt (8.8) and the passing of the pin (119.6). Flowers contributed 74 receptions for 1,059 yards and four touchdowns in its second season in the League.
Some saw McLaurin as the most underestimated open receiver in the NFL before the 2024 season. Well, Daniels helped ensure that McLaurin was not underestimated for much longer. After the commanders, Daniels with the second general selection in the NFL 2024 Draft, the couple took Washington to a 12-5 record and a surprise appearance in the NFC championship game.
Daniels broke multiple novice records and Arguffy had the best season for a rookie seafood, launching for 3,568 yards, running for 891 yards and scoring 31 total touchdowns. McLaurin, meanwhile, had 82 receptions for 1,096 yards and 13 touchdowns of his career. He marked the fifth consecutive season, McLaurin registered at least 1,000 reception yards as well.
Speaking of 1,000 -yard reception gusts, Evans ended with 1,004 reception yards in 2024, marking the eleventh consecutive season that recorded 1,000 reception yards. That is tied with Jerry Rice for the longest streak in the history of the NFL.
The most impressive part is Evans achieved that feat by catching passes from several different field marshals. Mayfield has clearly been the second best field marshal with which he has matched, only follows Tom Brady. Mayfield has rebuilt his career since he arrived in Tampa Bay in 2023. He was statistically one of the main league pins in 2024, finishing third in air yards (4,500) and drew secondly in Touchdowns (41).
For a couple of years, Stafford and Cooper Kupp were one of the best air duos in the League. KUPP could have gone, but Stafford has a different open receiver with which he has formed a similar chemistry. Nacua emerged quickly in its first season in 2023, presenting a rookie record of 1,486 reception yards.
A PCL lesion caused Nacua to miss six games in 2024. Even so, it produced 79 receptions for 990 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games, finishing third in the NFL in yards per game (90). Stafford was also effective as a 36 -year -old in 2024, launching 3,762 touchdowns, 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
There was a small drama around Hurts and Brown in 2024, but the two protected the noise and gave the Eagles a Super Bowl title. Hurts did not present the most surprising pass statistics last season, launching for 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions. But it remained one of the most powerful hurried field marshals of the game (630 yards by land, 14 touchdowns per land), while Brown had 1.079 recently yards and seven receiving TouchDowns in 13 games.
That marked the fifth time in his six -year career that Brown reached 1,000 reception yards, including consecutive seasons of 1,400 yards in his first two years in Philadelphia. He was shown in the NFC championship game with 96 yards to receive the team and a touchdown against the commanders and then scored a touchdown in the Super Bowl Lix.
When Goff and St. Brown crushed Detroit before the 2021 season, who would have thought that the two would form one of the best combos of field marshal and open receiver in the league? However, that is what Goff, who was expelled by the Rams, and St. Brown, a fourth round of 2021, have done so.
Goff was again the main passers -by of the NFL in 2024, finishing second in air yards (4,629) and fourth in TouchDowns passengers (37). St. Brown, meanwhile, ended among the top five at receptions (115), receiving yards (1,263) and receiving TouchDowns (12) for a second consecutive season.
The 2024 Prescott season was interrupted due to a severe lesion in the hamstrings. The last time he and Lamb played a full season together, they thought, they were electric. Prescott had its best year in 2023, launching for 4,516 yards, 36 touchdowns and nine interceptions when it ended second in the MVP vote.
Lamb was equally good in 2023. He led the league at receptions (135), was second in reception yards (1,749) and third to receive TouchDowns (12) that year. It was also quite productive when they caught alternate field marshal passes for the middle of the season in 2024, registering 101 receptions for 1,194 yards and six touchdowns.
These two have bone conspiracy that operates the secondary ones, since they were together in LSU. While they have not won a NFL championship as they did in their university days, Burrow and Chase have almost reached the same height of their time in Cincinnati, doing the Super Bowl in its first season along with the Bengles.
Burrow and Chase alone also have better gooths since then. Burrow was the number 1 pin in the league last year with 4,918 yards. He also led the league in TouchDowns of passes (43) and remained highly efficient despite launching a greater 652 NFL attempts, registering a 108.5 pin rating.
Chase also comes from a professional year. He won the triple receiver crown in 2024, becoming the third player to do so since the change of the century. He led the League with 127 receptions for 1,708 yards and 17 touchdowns. With a season like that, it is not surprising that Chase has become the best paid open receiver in the history of the NFL.
