The rating for the Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna’s Formula 1 is still underway in the historic Icola circuit in Italy.
But before Q1 has just come to an end, the day of a driver is over.
The terrifying clash of the Red Bull Yuki Tsunoda driver in a thrust turn pulled the red flag, stopping the session with more than 12 minutes remaining in the first quarter. Tsunoda was pushing through Chicana Villeneuve, but slid out of the racing line to the barrier, with the impact turning its RB21 before the car stopped to the right.
You can watch a video of the derivation here:
Tsunoda was able to leave the RB21 and walk without assistance to the security car, where it was tasks of the Medical Center for Evaluation.
While the session was stopped, multiple drivers verified with their teams to make sure Tsunoda was fine, including Liam Lawson, who reported from the cabin of his car that he had the video and wanted to make sure Tsunoda was fine.
The qualification resumed at 4:20 pm local time after an extended delay, with 19 drivers still in the fight for pole position in the Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna.
UPDATE: Red Bull informs that Tsunoda has been authorized after his medical evaluation “caution”.
Grateful, Yuki Haas has been reviewed and released from the medical center after precautionary checks.#F1 || #Imolagp
