Santiago Giménez de México scored twice and Christian Pulisic of the United States added another when AC Milan recovered to beat Bologna 3-1 in the series A Friday and keep their hopes of European football alive next season.
It was the second consecutive game in which Milan came from behind to ensure three points.
Milan is eighth in the Italian league, a point above the Fiorentina and two points behind a hesitant bowl. The first four will enter the Champions League and the fifth and sixth place teams classify for the Europa League and Europe Conference League, respectively.
Juventus is fourth with 63 points, as well as the two teams behind him, Rome and Lazio.
Bologna took the lead after 48 minutes when Riccardo Orsolini cut from the right and fired a low impulse, fits Mike Maignan.
However, Giménez matched in the 73rd minute with a cold finish after Pulisic placed it inside the box.
The 79 minutes of Joao Felix was blocked, but fell perfectly for the American when he cut the ball home from 12 meters.
Giménez limited an outstanding performance in the detention time when he made space for himself within the box and scored his second and the third of Milan.
The two teams meet again in the Coppa Italia final next Wednesday in Rome.
