A fire alarm was activated in TD Garden after the victory of the playoffs 91-90 of the New York Knicks over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night, causing an evacuation of letters.
TD Garden officials issued a statement on Wednesday night saying that an alarm was manned and that no one was Kured. The cause of the alarm is under investigation, according to the statement.
The alarms began to sound while Brunson and Josh Hart in New York were still on the podium concluding an interview after the game. Jaylen Brown from Boston had just completed his interview session in a separate room when the officials directed the media members towards the outputs.
Due to the evacuation, the Jayson Tatum planned interview session was canceled.
New York leads the 2-0 series after two consecutive victories. Brunson hit the free advantage of advantage with 12.7 seconds in game 2. Tatum had the ball with the opportunity to win, but could not get the shot cleanly when Mikal Bridges came to slide the ball.
Games 3 and 4 will be in Madison Square Garden. Game 5, if necessary, will return to Boston.
