While the NFL 2025 draft acts as a welcome to the NFL of the next rookie class, it also points out an incoming fatality for some veterans. After the draft, there are several veterans who should go to feel some heat after seeing their teams take young players in their position. These veterans could see their decreased game time in the 2025 season, and any of those who lose their job completely. Whether it is due to the decrease in the game or in a new coaching staff, these boys could be in the hot seat that enters 2025.
Christian Watson, WR, Green Bay Packers
Watson comes from a torn acl that will keep it out of play for most of 2025, but even when you return, the receiver room has extremely full Goths. The Packers wrote a receiver in the first round for the first time in years, selecting Texas Wr Matthew Golden. In addition to that, TCU WR Saivion Williams was tasks on day 2, giving Packers to two types that can use their speed to create explosives. The size and speed of Watson were going to be surprised in the season, but with the Packers duplicating the receiver in the draft, it seems that it could be the strange man.
Trevor Penning, OT, New Orleans Saints
The Saints did not collect the fifth year of Trevor Penning, and for a good reason. Penning has been up and down since he was chosen in the first round, turning from the left to the appearance to the right last season. However, with Kelvin Banks now on the list, I wonder where Peding plays in 2025. Are you moving to protect or become the Tackle Swing of this team? It seems that the Saints still believe in it, but it will be a great year for the medal with a new offense and empowering a new position.
Kayvon Thibodeaux, Edge, New York Giants
The giants collected the fifth year option for Thibodeaux, but wrote Penn State Edge Abdul Carter in third place in general. AltheHous Carter played outside the ball in Penn State before moving to the full -time defensive line, I think his best position is on the edge in full -time, which creates some logjam in that position. They will not get Brian Burns out of the field and Carter is likely to play a lot, so I wonder what the plan for Thibodeaux. He has exactly the player who hoped to enter the draft, mixing brilliance stretching with some really frustrating moments. That inconsistency could see him shorten his snapshots in 2025.
Ja’quan McMillan, CB, Denver Broncos
I have a great admirer of McMillan, but with the Texas selection of CB Jahdae Barron in the first round, I wonder if he is the strange man in his secondary room. Riley Moss is more size and could play outside, and Patrick Surey II is the reigning DPOY, but McMillan was the most target type when he aligned in the slot in 2024, and that could be something that the sourcecos want to change. Now, all this depends on Barron playing inside instead of outside (which if he plays outside, I have many questions about Riley Moss), but I love his game more inside, which means that McMillan could be the one who sees his snapshots in 2025.
Gabe Davis, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jags spent most of their low season purging the signings of the Trent Baalke era, just before exchanging for Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter. WR Gabe Davis is still on the list, but his game time could be cut significantly. Jacksonville has said that Hunter will begin on the receiver, and also added Dyami Brown in the free agency to complement the star receiver Brian Thomas Jr. However, Davis really does not take into account those plans after a 2024 incorporated with drops and a poor route. In a new offensive with a new main office, Davis has quickly gone from being the best dog to fight for representatives in the full wr room.
