The Golden State Valkyries have announced that they have cut the rookie Shyanne Sellers, whom they selected in the second round of the WNBA draft with the No. 17 pick.
ESPN had projected that the sellers would be no. 6 General selection, while Atlético forecasts in the eighth place. Instead, the sellers surprisingly left the first round before being selected by the new WNBA expansion team.
It seemed that he could have found a good opportunity in the Valkyries, but the team announced that he had cut his legs after the first week of training camp.
In his four -year career in Maryland, sellers averaged 12.9 points per game. In his senior season, he averaged 14.4 points at 46.2% from the field, while fired 40.8% of three.
WNBA list cuts increase in the first week of training camp
A litany of players from the WNBA teams has already been cut, with almost two remaining weeks until the lists are finished.
The Sun Connecticut has already cut Morgan Mally, Abbey Hsu and My Hollingshed, Las Aces de Las Vegas cut Jordyn Jenkins, the New York Liberty Cut Kaitlyn Davis and the Anneles Cut Anneli Maley and Alysa Utsby.
The lists must be definitive before May 15, and most teams still need to cut between two and six players.
